DEMONSTRATION OF CHARITY
AND VOLUNTEERISM
From 17th February to 2nd March
The II Demonstration of Charity and Volunteerism shall take place in Murcia between 17th of Feb. and 2nd March, 2003. The objective of this meeting is to provide an opportunity for all individuals and associations involved in activities related to charity, social assistance and volunteering.
PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES

Inauguration
ceremony: Wed. 19th – 12.00
During the fair various charity ad volunteer organisations and religious orders shall be informing the public on the work they carry out.

Conference: Volunteerism and Ethics Prof. D. Marcelino Cambronero. Sub-director of the department of Ethics (UCAM), Monday 17th Feb – 20.00 – 21.00.
Conference: Charity ad Spirituality D. Jauma Castro Forns – Head of the San Egidio Community, Barcelona. Tuesday 18th Feb. – 20.00 to 21.00.
Cinema session - meeting: Mas allá de Rangún (Beyond Rangun). Prof. Dña Gloría Tomás Garrido.Lecturer of the Dept. of Ethics UCAM. Wed 26th Feb – 19.00 to 22.00.
Conference: Deaconry of Charity in Volunteerism. Prof. D. Heinrich Pompey, Director of Institute of Charity Sciences – Friburg. Thurs, 27th Feb – 20.00 to 21.00.

I University Award ‘Fundación San Antonio’ to Charity and Volunteerism
I Regional award ‘Fundación San Antonio’ to Charity and Volunteerism
I International award ‘ Fundación and Volunteerism’ to Charity and Volunteerism
Nominations for the awards shall be accepted in the Volunteerism Centre of the UCAm until the 18th of Feb. One association or group shall be selected from the nominees to receive the ‘Fundación San Antonio’ award in all its modes.

A Song for Solidarity

One particularly significant event, the planting of the tree of peace, is to take place at the UCAM with representatives from all over the world in attendance. Earth shall be placed on an Olive Tree brought from Jerusalem in a multi-cultural and multi-religious ceremony for peace and solidarity.
